About Tyler Les Nudell

Tyler Les Nudell, aged 59, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 2, 2026 at his home in Mesa, Arizona following a courageous battle with cancer. He was surrounded with love and his family at his side. He is remembered as a loving husband, devoted father, trustworthy brother, proud uncle, and loyal friend.

Tyler was born on June 1,1966 in Fargo, North Dakota. Tyler’s love for his hometown was lifelong. Even after moving away, he proudly told people where he was born and grew up. He had such good friends from Fargo and absolutely loved being a part of the West Fargo Class of 1984.

Tyler was a true family man. He loved to share memories of growing up with his parents, brothers, and extended family. Tyler’s devotion to his family continued his entire life. As a husband and father, he loved spending time as a family, doing activities together, or just hanging out at home.

Work was an important part of Tyler’s life. He worked in the restaurant business in multiple management roles for many years, then joined Love’s Travel Stops working as an Other Income Specialist. He had a work ethic like none other and gave 100% every day. Even while battling cancer, he remained dedicated and driven. Work was a priority for him, and he continued to show up and do his best.

In 1993, Tyler Nudell and Becky Anderson were united in marriage. They made their home in Omaha, Nebraska, where they grew their family. They welcomed two daughters, Emily Jo (1995) and Grace Meredith (1998). Tyler loved being a dad! The family moved to Mesa, AZ in 2003.

Another passion in Tyler’s life was his love of sports. Many days were spent rooting for his favorite teams: the Minnesota Vikings, the Arizona Cardinals, and the Arizona Diamondbacks. He knew countless sports facts, kept up on the latest sports news, and enjoyed finding and collecting memorabilia.

Tyler was preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Meredith Nudell. Left to remember him are his wife, Becky, two daughters: Emily and Grace, brothers: Blake (Kari) and Reed (Joni), mother-in-law, Beverly (Richard), sister-in-law, Beth (Eric), brother-in-law, Bruce (Ellie), as well as several cousins, nieces, nephews, and special friends.

Funeral services are Monday, May 11, 2026 at 12:00 PM, preceded by a visitation at 11:00 AM at Bunker’s Garden Chapel, 33 North Centennial Way, Mesa, AZ.

To honor Tyler, donations may be made to The V Foundation for Cancer Research, Hospice of the Valley, or Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center in Gilbert.

I know you don’t know me, I remember him from Long Lake. He was hilarious. I remember how we would get in trouble. Oh Boy, the Rec Center ice cream, games and so much fun. He was good at giving me a hard time, there were 3 Shawn’s that we hung around with. My great uncle’s would call me Shawnee, so they thought that’s who I would. My Sympathies to the family! I’ll remember his laughter! He Was A Great Guy!!!
