About Partnered Hearts

Built by caregivers, for caregivers.

Partnered Hearts is a professional community for Arizona caregivers and end-of-life professionals — founded in 2015 to recognize, support, and connect the people who walk alongside patients and families through some of life's hardest moments.

Our Story

How Partnered Hearts began.

In 2015, two Arizona funeral providers — Bunker Family Funerals & Cremation and A Wise Choice Cremation & Funeral Services — noticed something. The nurses, social workers, chaplains, aides, and volunteers they worked alongside every day were doing extraordinary work, often without anyone outside their team knowing about it.

There were continuing-education conferences and professional associations, of course. But there wasn't a community that simply existed to honor the people doing the work — to bring them together, share resources, and say, out loud, "we see you."

So they built one. Partnered Hearts started as a small monthly gathering and the very first Golden Heart Award — a thank-you to one caregiver, nominated by a peer, for going above and beyond. A decade later, the community has grown and so has the list of caregivers we've had the privilege of honoring — but the mission hasn't changed.

We're proud to be sponsored today by Bunker Family Funerals, A Wise Choice Cremation & Funeral Service, and Gilbert Memorial Park — local partners who help us honor Arizona's caregivers.
