About Timothy Lloyd Rinesmith (Tim)
Timothy Lloyd Rinesmith (Tim) passed away January 5, 2026, at age 67.
Tim started to learn to fly at the age of 18 at the Ann Arbor Airport in Ann Arbor, Michigan and received his pilot’s license at the age of 22. He loved flying and shared this with his children paying for an instructor flight for each of them. Tim was a helper who was willing to help anyone in need and did so frequently. If he did not have the knowledge to do so, he would gain it by research and teaching himself through books and later YouTube. It has been said that “Tim is a jack of all trades and master of many”. He had many capable skills and could converse on a great number of intellectual subjects. Electronics was an interest of his that he tinkered in. In Michigan he worked at Brewers Towing in Ann Arbor, Corporate Flight at Metro Airport and Masten Products near the Ann Arbor Airport. He was a big fan of Star Trek that Pamela had never heard of before becoming reacquainted with him in 1991. Tim loved to build and send off Rockets as a child and shared that with his children. Tim loved the community of Gilbert which he has lived in for the past 23 years and did volunteer work in various capacities over the years many of which were in leadership roles! Tim had many friends that relied on his knowledge of world news, stock market and the political arena in Gilbert to help them decide who to vote for. Tim was devoted to Pamela and did an excellent job of showing and telling her that she was loved every day!
Timothy is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Pamela Rinesmith; his children Starr (Tim) Joseph, Kevin (Angelina) Patton and Rachel (Raheem) Williams; his six grandchildren, Janelle, Jace and Jasper and Breanna, Declan and Callen. Also survived by his brothers Jim and Tom; and sisters Cindy and Denise. He was preceded in death by his parents Donald and Patricia Rinesmith.
A memorial service will be held at Gilbert Memorial Park Funeral Home at 2100 E. Queen Creek RD in Gilbert, AZ 85297 on January 16, 2026, at 5 PM.
