About Timothy John Gabik

Timothy John Gabik was called to Heaven to join his beloved parents Raymond and Rita (Mikalofsky) Gabik and Brother Ray Joseph, on Wednesday October 30th, 2019 at the age of 57. He is survived by his Loving Wife Christine . Devoted Father to Amanda Gabik, Stepchildren Kayla and Kyle Lambert and Grandfather to Bentley Parker. Loving Brother to Rita Mary (Paul) Boese, Nancy (Mark) Franszczak, and Peter (Laurie) Gabik. Cherished Uncle to John Boese, Jenny (Allen) Eagle, Nick (Amy) Gabik, and Jacob Gabik. Further survived by other relatives and many great friends.

Tim had a great sense of humor, and always wanted to make others laugh. He fulfilled his commitment to his country and retired from the Army Reserves. His passion for driving allowed him 37 years of driving a Semi, in addition to his true love of riding his Harley Davidson. Tim was extremely grateful for the gift of life he was given by Christ, and his faith allowed the willingness and courage to persevere the long four-year battle of cancer.

The Celebration of Life will be held at 2pm on Thursday, November 7, 2019 at Central Christian Church, 933 N. Lindsay Rd, Mesa, Arizona 85213 with visitation beginning one hour prior to the service at 1pm.

A private family committal service with military honors is also scheduled for Friday November 8, 2019 at the Arizona National Veteran Cemetery.

So saddened to here about Tim. We lived across the street from his family in Oak Creek and watched him and all the kids go through the different changes life brought them. Tim was always kind and polite to us older people and he definitely made you laugh. He always spoke his mind and had strong beliefs about different topics. His service to our country was greatly appreciated and we understand how much he gave to complete this mission as I also was a veteran. We pray for you all and will unite with Tim again in heaven.

I had the honor to grow up with Tim. We had become fathers at an early age. Tim had strong values and very disciplined. Tim was an awesome father to Amanda. Tim could always bring you’re spirits up when you were having a bad day. It was nice to read all the pleasant comments on how Tim made you laugh. I will always remember Tim when I had applied to become a police officer. I used Tim as a reference. When the police investigators started my background check they went to Tim’s residence. At that time Tim had a sign posted on his entrance door saying “everyone must remove their shoes or don’t bother coming in”. Tim told the investigators they had to remove their shoes or they can’t enter. The investigators interviewed me later and asked me about Tim making everyone take their shoes off. The investigators laughed and thanked me for Tim having strong values. For years Tim and I would laugh over the sign on his front door. Thanks Tim for serving our country and protecting our freedom. It was nice to learn Tim had been married and had two stepchildren. My condolences to Tim’s family for their loss.

I remember when I met Tim, he and Christine were held up in California and so was I. We had the evening to sit and chat, I realized then what a truly genuine person I had met. He really cared about things and wanted them done right. When they cut there driving time short (A great team), I left the office and began driving again it was in their truck. To this day I’m still driving that same truck and I know it’s because Tim and Christine put their touch on it. I will always remember Tim and take pride in driving that same truck. Christine, You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. Tim you will be remembered.
