Obituary
Timothy David Andrews
November 8, 1968 – July 30, 2024
Timothy David Andrews, born on November 8, 1968, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away unexpectedly on July 30, 2024. Tim, as he was fondly known, was the beloved son of James and Deborah Andrews, and the cherished brother of Scott Andrews and Jaimie (Joel) Ormiston.
A proud alumnus of Bishop Dwenger High School, class of 1987, Tim went on to earn his B.S. in Exercise Physiology from Indiana University in 1991. Upon graduating, he moved to New Brunswick, New Jersey, where he began his career at Johnson & Johnson headquarters. It was here that Tim was instrumental in creating one of the first corporate fitness programs in the country, showcasing his passion for health and fitness.
In 1995, Tim joined Star Trac Fitness, where he started as a sales representative in commercial fitness equipment sales and rose to the position of key account manager. Known for his tireless work ethic, passion, and unrivaled charisma, Tim excelled in his role and earned the respect and admiration of colleagues and clients alike. His ability to make friends easily and make everyone feel special was a testament to his genuine and gregarious nature.
In 2012 after moving with his family to Arizona, Tim fulfilled a lifelong dream by founding TEK Fitness Distributors. His passion and commitment enabled the business to thrive, and he considered the TEK staff his second family.
An all-around athlete, Tim remained highly active throughout his life. However, his greatest joy came from his daughter, Erin Andrews. Tim was the most enthusiastic parent at her softball games, his pride and support for Erin shining brightly at every event. His love for his family and friends was boundless, always expressed with a big hug and words of affection.
Tim is survived by his treasured daughter, Erin; his loving parents, James and Deborah Andrews; and his devoted siblings, Scott Andrews and Jaimie (Joel) Ormiston. He also leaves behind his former wife and Erin’s mom, Kathleen Morehouse, and his loving partner, Lori Lovering. Tim’s legacy is further carried on by his cherished nephews and nieces, Zach, Ryan, Tyler, Connor, Reagan, Kylie, and Beau, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, William and Betty Block, and Joseph P. and Betty Andrews.
Tim’s vibrant spirit, love for his family, and unyielding enthusiasm will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His memory will forever remain in the hearts of those he touched.
