About Terry Lou Watson
Terry Watson, 79, of Gilbert, Arizona, passed away on June 7, 2026 following a stroke, after a long and courageous battle with dementia.
A vibrant force of nature, Terry lived life to the fullest before her illness. She was a highly accomplished professional, serving as the West Region Director of Network Operations at United Healthcare. Outside of her successful career, Terry was a true artist at heart. She possessed a gift for design, spending her free time designing homes, decorating, and gardening. Above all, Terry loved to dance and was always the life of the party, bringing her signature sense of fun to everything she did.
On April 7, 1979, Terry married her beloved husband, Robert Watson. Together, they shared 47 years of marriage and built a large, loving, blended family.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Watson; her son, Robert McGrath and his wife Dawn; and her step-children, Patty Haer, Karen Watson, Heather Vetter and her husband James, and Kerry Watson.
She is also survived by her grandchildren, Christopher, Jordan, Jo, Brody, Connor, Rylee, Benjamin, Bailey, and Ryan; and her great-grandchildren, Ryleigh and Kyndal.
Terry leaves behind her siblings, Roman Galas (Joanne), Steven Galas (Nancy), Beverly Schulz (Martin), and James Galas (Cathy), her former spouse Robert McGrath (Kathy), along with numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
She will also be missed by her two cherished Yorkies, Kylee and Cassie, who brought her comfort and companionship.
Terry was preceded in death by her daughter, Cassandra Whitmore.
