About Steven James Davis
Steven James Davis passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on June 20, 2024, in Gilbert, AZ, at the age of 66. Born in Milwaukee, WI, Steve held a special place in the lives and hearts of all who knew him.
Steve’s journey began at St Francis High School and continued at UW-Platteville, where he earned a degree in Business Administration. In 2016, Steve and his family relocated to Arizona, where he finished out his 40-year career with State Farm Insurance. His dedication and commitment were evident throughout, a testament to his strong work ethic. Following his retirement in 2019, he pursued his passion for golf, working at Viewpoint Golf Resort and then as a Starter/Ranger at Camelback Golf Club. Steve’s kindness and generosity, which left an indelible mark on all, were the cornerstones of his character, earning him a wealth of friendships over his lifetime. He always believed in the intrinsic good of people and always saw the best in everyone.
Steve’s devotion to his family was unwavering. In 1989, he married the love of his life, and together, they navigated the joys and challenges of life, raising their children and finding laughter along the way. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Cece; daughter, Sarah (Dave) Anderson; sons, Sean Davis and Connor Davis (Amanda Wuorio); grandchildren, Davis, Vivian, and Evelynn; his mother, Joan Davis; siblings, Dan (Jenn) Davis, Jean (Mike) Burns, and Mary (Mark) Brault. He was preceded in death by his father, James, and sister, Linda.
An avid golfer and a fiercely loyal Green Bay Packer fan, Steve spent many joyful hours either on the course or cheering his team to victory. His kind, generous nature and dedication to his family and friends will be fondly remembered and sorely missed. We take comfort in knowing that his legacy lives on in the lessons he taught us, the love he shared, and the memories we will cherish forever.
