Obituary

Sharon Martinez Waters

Sharon Martinez Waters passed into God’s hands on November 22 nd . She did so at home, surrounded by family. Sharon was an Arizona native, born in Glendale into a large loving family. A woman of deep faith in the Lord Jesus, she raised three children and was blessed with six grandchildren. In her career, Sharon worked in accounting and payroll positions for several companies, including Intel. An avid antique collector, Sharon loved the thrill of uncovering hidden treasures at antique stores and estate sales. Her greatest treasure was her family and friends, and her incredible gift of making all feel special and helping so many through life’s challenges. A truly special soul, who touched all she met with grace and goodness.

Sharon is survived by her husband Joseph, her three children Sherry Cruz, Michael Cruz (Cristina) and Richard Cruz; her six grandchildren Taylor Robinson, Marissa Cruz, Dylan Cruz, Jordan Robinson, Ricky Cruz and Lyric Cruz; her sisters Nancy Tomerlin and Cindy Acedo as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews. Sharon was preceded in death by her father Manuel Martinez, mother Sarah Triassi, and brothers Manuel & Rudy Martinez. In God’s hands and our hearts, until we meet again.

Our hearts our broken, with disbelief ,but I know that our Heavenly Father has a plan. I know Sharon is in Heaven ,we would always talk about how we would be lucky if Jesus would let us clean the pearly gates ,that meant we did good. I know we all have So, so,so many stories we have about her but the truest is she had the kindest heart and she was generosit to a fault and she passed that on to her family. I’m so proud to say she was not only my cousin but a sister a friend and a trusted confidant. She will be dearly missed .
