Ronald LeRoy Gibson “Gibby”
Ronald LeRoy Gibson passed away peacefully in his sleep on January 26, 2021 in Queen Creek, Arizona. Gibby was born in 1945 in Watseka, Illinois, and is preceded in death by his wife, Ruth, and parents, Eldon “Bud” and Evelyn Gibson. Gibby was a heavy equipment operator for over 45 years and retired with the Iroquois Paving Company in Watseka, Illinois. Gibby was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local No. 841 and Local No. 370. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and trapping and was a proud lifetime member of the National Rifle Association of America. Those who remain to miss him are his daughters Toni Larson and Rhonda Ross (Brian), stepson Bob Michl, and his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Per Gibby’s final request his ashes will be laid to rest in the Cascade Mountains in the Pacific Northwest, where he was happiest as a working cowboy in his earlier years.
