About Robert Herbert Rymer Jr.
Robert Herbert Rymer of Queen Creek, Arizona passed at the age of 77 on October 15, 2026. He was born on September 5, 1949 in Tempe, Arizona. Rob was a devoted son, husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.
Rob grew up in Phoenix and attended Creighton Elementary School. As a child, he loved playing Little League Baseball and Pop Warner Football. He graduated from Paradise Valley High School where he played football and excelled in track and field. Rob continued his education at Northern Arizona University, where he made lifelong friends and created many fond memories and stories he told on repeat. After college, he had a successful career as a journeyman glazier and worked on many commercial buildings including the 40-story Chase Tower and 24-story Hyatt Regency in downtown Phoenix. Rob truly had the gift of gab. He never met a stranger. His sense of humor was unsurpassed, and people were drawn to him. He loved sports, music, the outdoors, fishing with his wife and daughters, hunting with his father and volunteering with the Mesa Southside Mounted Sheriff’s search and rescue. After living in Gilbert for more than 30 years, Rob and his wife Cathy moved to Queen Creek along with their dog, two horses and two cats.
