A Life Remembered

Obituary

Robert Orlando, known to all as Bob, passed away on September 15, 2026, at the age of 63. Born on November 6, 1962, Bob lived a life marked by hard work, generosity, and a deep love for people and music.

Bob was a master mechanic for most of his life, possessing an extraordinary instinct for diagnosing and repairing vehicles. He could often pinpoint a problem within minutes, but what truly set him apart was his willingness to share his talent. Bob frequently helped elderly individuals or those in need with automotive repairs, often at little or no cost. If someone needed help and Bob could provide it, he did.

This spirit of generosity extended to all aspects of his life. Bob genuinely loved people and had a compassionate heart for those facing struggles. His Christian faith was a cornerstone of his life, and he loved the Lord with all his being.

Music was another lifelong passion for Bob. He was a gifted guitar player who performed with various bands throughout the years. Music remained an integral part of his identity, serving as another avenue through which he connected with others. Bob earned his GED and built his life through dedication, experience, and determination, demonstrating a remarkable ability to learn and create with his hands.

Bob is survived by his daughters, Madelyn Orlando, Natalie Orlando, Kahla Howard (Jacob), and Kellee Roberts; his brothers, Michael Orlando (Karen), John Orlando (Joi), and Anthony Orlando (Maira Austin); and his former wife, Suzanne Mitchell, mother of his daughters Madelyn and Natalie. Bob and Suzanne were together for 25 years, including 15 years of marriage. He was preceded in death by his father, Michael Orlando, and his mother, Linda Orlando.

My biggest regret will always be when it was a year ago and I thought of reaching out to you and ultimately decided not to, I’d give anything to go back to that day to drive to your house and hug you again. I will always cherish our cars movie marathons, listening to you play the guitar, and you bugging me when I was playing on my phone. I miss you so much and will always love you🤍 ~Love your stinker dinker

Although we had a very imperfect relationship, I will always wish I could’ve said goodbye and had the opportunity to hold you one last time. You are loved and missed, I always be your shwewee.

My Dad had a few difficulties in life that made it hard to have close bonds with some of his family, but we know he wanted to love and be loved. As we all do. And he was indeed loved by many people. I hope he is at peace.
