About Phyllis Jane Mccullough

Phyllis J. (Susie) McCullough

Susie (age 85) went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 14, 2025. She was born on January 24, 1940 in LaFollette, TN to the late Ira and Wanda Bullard Rowland.

Susie was the loving wife of Bobbie for 67 years, devoted mother to Rhonda and Kimberly, and known as Tosh to Terra, Joey, and Lacie.

Susie was one of a kind and served the Lord her entire life. She was a true prayer warrior.

Always a good listener, you could count on her to be there with good counsel.

She grew up in Grand Junction, CO, where she packed peaches when she was a teenager. She loved Colorado peaches and had the opportunity to work in a fruit stand in Palisade, CO, during her retirement years.

She married the love of her life, Bobbie, in 1958 and moved to California for 9 years before moving to Arizona in 1969 where she still lived. She reminisced often about the good times with family and friends at their home on Wilshire.

Susie loved life. Always the life of the party, she loved making people laugh. She had great style and had an eye for pretty things. She was very artistic and enjoyed any kind of hobby that involved being creative. She leaves behind many special handmade treasures to be cherished by those who will miss her dearly.

She is survived by her husband, Bobbie McCullough; daughters, Rhonda Patterson and Kimberly Emerson; grandchildren, Terra Gibson, Joey Hallam, and Lacie Nottingham (Chase); great-grandchildren, Savannah Runnels, Lily Gibson, and Cameron Gibson; brother, Jack Rowland (Linda); sister, Sandie Gibson and many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Carl Rowland (Judy), Allen Gibson; sister, JoAnn Barley (Edmond); and grandson-in-law, Chris Gibson.
