About Phillip Michael Feruglio

Phillip Michael Feruglio, born October 15th 1939, was called home on Saturday August 20th 2022. Phil is preceded in death by his mother, father, brother, sister, and 2 sons. He is survived by his wife, son, 4 daughters, 13 grandkids, 5 great grandkids and counting. Phil was known for his witty sense of humor, he loved to laugh and make people laugh. Phil was very proud of his Italian heritage and enjoyed communicating with his Italian family and friends from Italy. Phil loved to reminisce and talk about his time in the Navy and was very proud to serve his country. Phil’s hobbies included woodworking, making custom acrylic pens, collecting trains and taking train trips. He loved his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren dearly. The funeral service will be held at 11am Thursday August 25th at Gilbert Memorial Park, 2100 E. Queen Creek Rd. Gilbert, Arizona 85297.

Very sorry to hear of Phillips passing ,I wish our families could have met. But families don’t do that any more I guess. I will see you later cousin, I’m sure you are with our Lord now.

I am sorry for your loss. I worked with Phil and Don Kalasky at AHCCCS. They were a joy to work with. I enjoyed their stories and their humor. One of the things – they told me they did – at a prior site – they worked with people from the east – who did not know what to expect out here. One person wanted something to take back home with him – they made up a contraption (papper clips / rubber bands) – which we will call rattlesnake eggs. They told the person to keep it away from his body as his body heat might hatch the eggs, and to be sure not to open the packet until he landed… I’m sure you can imagine the rest Heaven is now enjoying the antics and laughter of both of them

I have known Phil for over 40 years, I think, and we went through some good as well as tough times of life. We remained friends, and we could always get each other laughing. I didn’t get to know him as a grandpa, nor him me as one. But I know it has been the highlight of his life once grandparenting started. I hope his extended family find joy in the memories they will always have of their good times with him.

I’m very saddened by the passing of my Facebook friend and near relative Phil. My brother Luis who also passed on July 5th 2022 , meet with Phil years ago . May God give peace and comfort to his loved ones.
