Penelope Jane Pence

It is with great sadness that the family of Penny Pence announces her passing on March 18, 2018, at the age of 74. Penny was diagnosed with lung cancer in December and fought like a warrior, with strength and endurance. Unfortunately, her body was not strong enough for the battle. Penny lived her life as a giver. She selflessly raised her two daughters and cared for her aging parents, all the while being involved with PTA, Girl Scouts, and dance recitals. Later in life, she found her love of jewelry making, silversmithing, wood crafting, and knitting. She is survived by her two daughters, Ginny Leamy (Brent Terry) and Dodie Blomberg; and her two grandchildren, Colton Blomberg and Cassidy Blomberg. She will also be remembered by her two brothers, George Pence (Ione) and Richard Pence (Mary); and niece and nephews, Mary Beth Degaro, Rich Pence (Brenda), and Jon Pence (Peggy); her best friend Jennifer Werring, and other dear friends.

A celebration of Penny’s life will be held on Friday, March 23, 2018 from 3:00-5:00 pm at the Mesa Verde Building, 2615 S. Farnsworth Dr., Mesa, AZ 85209.
