Peggy Brooke Faherty Hunt

Born Dec 10th,1934 to Mary Elizabeth Moore and Paul John Faherty in Phoenix, AZ.

The viewing will be Friday, June 12th from 6pm to 8pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Lehi Chapel, 830 E. Lehi Rd, Mesa, AZ 85203.

Graveside services will be Saturday, June 13th at 9 am at the Mesa Cemetery. Services for Peggy will be Saturday June 13th at 10:30 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Lehi Chapel.

Peggy is proceeded in death by her husband Alex G. Hunt. Her mother and father. Her brothers James Edward Faherty and John Paul Faherty. Her nieces Barbara Henderson, Cheryl Thompson and Valerie Randall. Also many Aunts and Uncles that she grew up with. She is survived by her children: Jeannette Espinoza (Tony), Lorrie Martinez (Leonard) and Steve Hunt (Chris), as well as 11 Grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren.

She has served in The Church of Jesus Christ in Many callings. Mostly as Relief Society on and off for many years. Young Women’s as a teacher, camp cabin mom, camp nurse, and camp cook. She has taught primary and Sunday school in many capacities. She also taught Seminary for several yrs. She also taught school in the Elfrida unified school district for a few yrs. Her and Alex served in several Local missions. The Indian reservation. The Humanitarian for the church. They also served many times in the Arizona Mesa Temple.

Peggy was an avid artist in many ways. She got her degree in Interior Design and went on to decorate many people's homes. Her biggest passion was sewing where she sewed many a wedding dresses, bridesmaid dresses and prom dresses. She was so good she worked for The PIXIE Bridal Shop. She sewed and did catering and cake decorating. She loved to draw, color and paint pictures. She did this almost right up until she passed. She liked to keep her hands busy. Never liked to sit too long. She was an amazing cook. Her spaghetti and tacos were the best. To relax she enjoyed riding our horses. She would play hoops and other games with the grandsons and teach the granddaughters sewing cooking and crafts.

She passed away at 91 yrs old on a beautiful Sunday morning. She will truly be missed.
