Obituary

Nancy Lee Lord

Nancy Lord was born on January 3, 1937 in Massachusetts to the Butterworth family of New York. Nancy spent her formative years in Binghamton New York, before relocating to Phoenix Arizona in 1979. The mother of five leaves behind Ed, Cindy, Bill (Tammy), Jim (Lynn), and Susan (Brett). Additionally, she was a doting grandmother to 12 wonderful grandkids kids and 2 great-grandkids, who she was always excited to see and was a clandestine dealer of candy to each.

A woman of eclectic passions, she would travel almost daily to Port Charles New York to do charity work at the local hospital. In her later years she was an early adopter in the DIY house flipping industry, working several different areas of interest with multiple partners from Waco Texas to The Coast of California. She was also an innovative investor, putting her money where her mouth was. The Tootsie Roll Company, Entenmann’s, Mars Candy, and McDonalds were her blue Chips, and she was all in.

She loved her life, from family get togethers to quality time with friends at Bingo Halls throughout the Valley. She will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her. “She was a tough Old Broad”.
