Margaret Jean King

Margaret (Maggie) Jean King, 90, passed away on September 5, 2026, in Mesa, Arizona. She was born to Jim and Bertha Sowl in Delmont, South Dakota on August 19, 1936.

Maggie led an incredibly happy life filled with family and friends. She always had a smile on her face and an open-door policy that made everyone feel at home. She will be remembered for her love of family, decorating for every holiday, hosting parties for friends, collecting Cherished Teddies, and she never met a dog she did not love.

She is survived by her husband of nearly 72 years, Leonard, children Missy Bachus (Mike), Jenny King (Dawn), grandchildren Tori Ratzman (Caleb), Rick Glossip, Jr. (Sarah), Jenna Bachus, four great-grandchildren, sister Donna Johnson, and numerous extended family members. She was preceded in death by her parents Jim and Bertha Sowl, and her brothers David Sowl and Jim Sowl.

In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place and her ashes will be scattered on Superstition Mountain in Apache Junction, Arizona.
