About Lorraine Helen Wheeler

Lorraine Wheeler of Mesa, AZ passed away on Wednesday, July 8, 2026 at the age of 84. Lorraine was born in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania and moved to Arizona in 1979. Lorraine was mother to Ann Reneé and Donald Junior. She raised her children with husband Donald Wheeler Senior. She is survived by daughter Ann Reneé, son Donald Junior, grandchildren Anthony, Jennifer, Erick, Christian, Justin, Matthew, Kevin, Brian, and great-grandchildren Luke, Gianna, Samuel, and Jay. Additionally, she is survived by brothers Bobby O’Day and Michael O’Day. Lorraine was much loved and will be greatly missed.

Services Are Private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the charity close to Lorraine’s heart, International Fellowship of Christians and Jews.

Grandma was the sweetest person. She was so kind to everyone. What stuck with me the most is that she always spoke her mind and I truly loved that about her. When the family would visit her Sundays, we would always have the best conversations and let me tell you she was a great storyteller and she was one of the funniest people I’ve ever met. Her home was a place of laughter, family, and love every single time I went over. Although I only had the pleasure of knowing her since 2023 I considered her my like own grandmother. I remember her telling me “I don’t know what I did to deserve you” and I told her I don’t know what I did to deserve YOU! I will forever miss her advice and stories.🤍

As her granddaughter I have so many wonderful memories with my grandma. We always had dinner every Sunday at her house. When I got older I would go to her house early to help her cook and set up before the rest of the family got there for dinner, she would always tell me how great I was at setting up the relish tray. Rest in Peace Grandma we all miss you. ✝️💕
