Obituary

Kathleen Militello

Kathleen Ann Militello, known to all as Kathy, passed away peacefully at her home in Gilbert, Arizona, on May 3, 2026. Born on October 10, 1946, Kathy lived a life defined by her quiet independence and an incredibly hard-working spirit. She was a natural peacemaker who lived by the philosophy of forgiveness, never holding a grudge and always choosing to see the best in people. Above all else, she will be remembered for her immense heart, her fun sense of humor, and her rare ability to love everyone around her unconditionally.

Her family was the center of her world. Kathy found her greatest joy in her roles as a mother and grandmother, prioritizing every possible moment with her children and grandchildren. Whether she was hosting family dinners, attending their sporting events, or sharing her lifelong love of music, she simply cherished being together. This same nurturing spirit was evident in the love and patience she gave to her dogs over the years, who were always beloved members of her family. When she wasn’t with her loved ones, she was often tending to her garden or sewing something, always finding ways to make the world a more beautiful place for everyone.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Matthew (Lindsay) and Michael (Annie); and her beloved grandchildren, Madison, Cassi, Adam, Marcus, Anna, Akul, Sam, and Quan. Kathy’s legacy of unconditional love, work ethic, and joy remains a lasting gift to all who knew her.
