A Life Remembered

Obituary

Jennifer Kay Knepfler, age 40, passed away unexpectedly on September 16, 2026, in Phoenix, Arizona. She was born on April 5, 1986, in Bay City, Michigan, and moved with her family to Arizona in 1992, where she spent her childhood and much of her life.

Jennifer will be remembered for her big heart, warm personality, and ability to bring smiles to those around her. Her positive spirit and genuine nature touched the lives of many, and her presence brought light and warmth to those who knew her. To her mother, Jennifer was a ray of sunshine, a light whose memory will forever remain in her heart.

Her greatest joy and most treasured legacy were her two children, Ciara and Jaiden Skinner, who will carry their mother’s love, memories, and spirit with them throughout their lives.

Jennifer is survived by her children, Ciara and Jaiden Skinner; her mother, Jill Jesperson Mowery (James); her siblings, Melanie Marie Hadick (Glenn), Jessica Knepfler, Michele Knepfler, Michael Knepfler (Morgan), and Justine Knepfler; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will cherish her memory.

She was preceded in death by her father, Michael Lloyd Knepfler; her beloved nephew, Luis Villasano Jr.; her grandmother, Sybil Jesperson; and her grandfathers, Norval Jesperson and Carl Knepfler.

Jennifer’s friends beautifully captured the impact she had on those around her:

“Your genuine personality and loving soul can never be matched. You will truly be missed and are irreplaceable.”

Jennifer will be deeply missed by her family and friends. She will forever hold a special place in the hearts of those who loved her, and her memory will live on through her children and the many lives she touched.

Forever our ray of sunshine. Forever loved. Forever Jennifer.
