A Life Remembered
Obituary
With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Jared Donovan Flowers on January 4, 2024, in Gilbert, Arizona.
Born on May 30, 1978, to Don Flowers and Nancy Yancey, Jared grew up with his four brothers, Maury, Sean, Josh, and Seth, in a household filled with brotherhood and love. His early years were marked by a spirited personality that later defined his life’s journey.
Jared’s path led him to serve in the United States Navy as an Aviation Ordnanceman Petty Officer 3rd Class from October 1996 to October 2000. His naval service, stationed in San Diego, was not just a career milestone but also a personal one, as it was there, he met his future wife, Michelle Reddeg. Together, they embarked on a 20-year journey of love, companionship, and family, blessed with three wonderful children, Donovan, Samantha, and Addison.
After his honorable service in the Navy, Jared’s passion for culinary arts steered him back to the restaurant industry. His career flourished remarkably, evolving from managing and opening restaurants to becoming the Owner of Flowers Concepts LLC and Vice President at National Restaurant Consultants. His influence and expertise positively impacted over 40 restaurant concepts across the United States, marking him as a luminary in the field.
Jared’s presence was unforgettable; his personality was larger than life. He possessed a huge heart and an unwavering desire to bring joy, laughter, and exceptional food to everyone around him. His legacy, deeply rooted in his family and the restaurant industry, will continue to inspire generations.
He is lovingly remembered by his mother, Nancy Yancey; brothers Maury, Sean, Josh, and Seth; his children Donovan, Addison, and Samantha; his partner Amber Wisecarver; and many other cherished loved ones.
A service to celebrate Jared’s life will be held on Wednesday, January 10th at 10:00 am, with a reception to follow at the same location:

Reflecting on his journey, in the words of Anthony Bourdain, “It’s been an adventure. We took some casualties over the years. Things got broken. Things got lost. But I wouldn’t have missed it for the world.” Jared’s life was indeed an extraordinary adventure, filled with love, joy, and impactful contributions, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew him. He will be deeply missed but forever celebrated in our memories.
