Hans O. Nilsen, 86, born Sept 21, 1935 passed away peacefully in Gilbert, Az Feb 2, 2022. He is survived by his wife Nancy Nilsen, sister Enid Dahleen, children Janet Snow, SharNan Robinson, David, Kederick and Eric. He has 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

Emigrating from Norway at the age of 13 with his family to Utah, he met his eternal companion Nancy Wilkerson there and was sealed in the Salt Lake City Temple. He worked as a computer systems engineer retiring in the year 2000.

Throughout his life he dedicated much of his time volunteering his time and efforts to many organizations including the USMC reserves, Boy Scouts of America, the Republican National Party, the Civil Air Patrol, and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served a mission to Norway and also served a mission with Nancy in the Stockholm Sweden Temple. For his dedication and service, the Boy Scouts awarded him the Silver Beaver award.

His life will be celebrated Feb 12, 2022 at 10 am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints chapel located at 4170 S Ranch House Pkwy, Gilbert, AZ 85297. A viewing will occur 1 hour prior. He will be interred at Gilbert Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to a charity of your discretion.
