Gloria Kathleen Eldridge from Mesa, AZ was born August 31, 1945 in Madera, California. She passed away on August 4, 2023 predeceased by her parents Arthur and Hazel Eldridge, sister Judy Demers, and brother Ronald Eldridge. Surviving her are her nieces Chantel (Steve) Nill, Candice Eldridge, and Jill (Dave) Armstrong and nephews Ron (Dusty) Eldridge II and Jeff (Jeni) Demers, many friends and family members.

Kathleen lived most of her life in Arizona where she completed her degree at Arizona State University and worked until her retirement for Mesa Public Schools as a librarian for Eisenhower and Franklin Elementary Schools. There are few examples of an individual who had more faith and lived the example set forth by our Savior, Jesus Christ, than Kathleen. Her love, kindness, and service to others will be remembered for many generations to come.

Services for Kathleen will be held on August 26, 2023 at 11AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located on 616 S Extension Rd, Mesa, AZ 85210.

I was saddened to learn of Kathleen’s passing today many days after her funeral. Kathleen and I worked together at Franklin Elementary school for many years. She was a dedicated educator who worked tirelessly for the benefit of all the Franklin students who came to the school library to check out books and learn research skills. She balanced the difficult task of providing stimulating materials for student learning, with professional standards and parental expectations in a sometimes challenging environment. She clearly cared for the students she served. Privately, she dedicated her out of school time to the well being of others many of whom had challenging needs. Christ-like qualities guided her actions and she found great joy in serving in the Mesa Arizona Temple. She made the world a better place during her time on earth. I am glad our pathways crossed.
