Francis David Timmons

Francis David Timmons, 67, of Mesa, AZ, passed away peacefully on June 12, 2026, in Tempe, AZ.

Born in Sodus, NY, Frank was the son of William and Marlana Timmons and grew up in Oneida, NY. He later made his home in the Phoenix, AZ area.

Frank worked for many years as a heavy equipment operator and mechanic. He was respected for his strong work ethic, mechanical skill, dependability, and willingness to help others.

He had a remarkable memory and could recall dates, stories, and details about family and friends that others had long forgotten. He especially enjoyed sharing those memories with the people around him.

Frank had a lifelong passion for automobiles and motorsports. An avid NASCAR fan, he rarely missed a race. He also enjoyed restoring automobiles and took great pride in bringing older vehicles back to life. Cars, racing, and working with his hands brought him great joy.

Frank was a member of St. Patrick's Church in Oneida. He will be remembered for his quiet nature, kind heart, loyalty, and appreciation for the simple pleasures of life.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents, William and Marlana Timmons, and his brother, Robert Timmons. He is survived by his siblings Daniel Timmons, Margaret "Peggy" (Kevin) Smith, Steven (Denise) Timmons, and Matthew (Michelle) Timmons, along with many nieces and nephews.

He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will live on in the hearts of those whose lives he touched.

Services will be held privately at the request of the family.
