A Life Remembered
Obituary
David Lee Anderson
July 28, 1945 – March 16, 2024
David L. Anderson, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and devout man of faith, passed away gently in his sleep on March 16, 2024. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Family and Legacy:
Survived by: His loving wife of 31 years, Jo-Anne Anderson, and his children, Adam (Nadja) Anderson, Britt Anderson and Juli-anne (Joe) Wilson. He was the proud “Papa” of 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren and brother to Art (Judy) Anderson and Kim (Charlie) Palmgren and a large extended family.
David was a pillar of strength and support for his family. His unwavering love and guidance will forever resonate in their hearts.
Passions and Pursuits:
Prior to retiring, David was an Investment Banker for over 40 years. David had a passion for the outdoors, including the Colorado Mountains and fishing in Minnesota as a child and later in life he’d continue his fishing adventures in Alaska. He had a special passion for duck hunting. The “Duckman” spent many early mornings by the water, the thrill of the hunt (especially for mallards aka greenies). The camaraderie with fellow hunters were moments he most treasured.
His faith was the cornerstone of his life. David’s unwavering belief in God sustained him through challenges and brought him immense peace, as well as sharing his love of faith with others.
Above all, David cherished his family. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, and a doting grandfather. Their home together was filled with warmth, laughter, and was always the place to gather for great company and David in charge of the BBQ making sure everyone was well fed.
Final Words:
As we bid farewell to David, let us remember his infectious smile, big personality, his hearty laughter, and the way he made everyone feel welcome.
May his soul find eternal rest, and may his memory continue to inspire us to live with love, faith, and devotion.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to a charity of your choice that would bring a smile to his face in David’s honor. Especially for those in need.
With family both near and far, an announcement for celebrations of life for David will be announced in the coming month(s).
