Brave Words. Braver Deeds.
Forty-three years ago, Daniel Broadbent entered this world in love–into the open hands of his mother. On December 4, 2021, after a brave fight with cancer, he left this world in love–holding the hands of his wonderful wife.
Dan was surrounded by family when he passed. Above all, he loved his family–and they, him. He is survived by his wife, Geri; daughters Hollyn, Paige, and Tess; and son Luke. He is also survived by his parents Charles and Patricia Broadbent; sister Amy Walker (Eric); brothers Christian (Kelly), Jeremy (Lisa), and Joshua Broadbent (Jess); Geri’s parents Bill and Jennifer Hall, and her brother Jonathan Hall (Mallory); and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Dan served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Bogota, Colombia, and was an active member of the Church.
He was an accomplished scholar and attorney. Dan graduated from the W.P. Carey School of Business and Barrett Honors College at Arizona State University in 2004, and from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln College of Law in 2010. He practiced law with a large national law firm in the Phoenix area before starting his own practice in 2013: the Broadbent Law Firm. Dan was the firm’s managing attorney and specialized in the practice areas of Business Law, Civil and Probate Litigation. Ever dedicated to excellence for his clients, Dan worked right up until his passing.
