About Dale Albert Vickman

Dale Albert Vickman, of Mesa, Arizona, passed away on Saturday, May 30, 2026. Dale was born to Albert and Vena (Hilliker) Vickman in Yorkshire, New York on October 26, 1941. He was the 6th child of 7 children. Dale joined the Air Force in 1961 at 19 years of age. During his 20 years of service, Dale served as a Jet Engine technician.

He served one tour of duty in Vietnam and was honorably discharged in 1981 at the rank of Master Sergeant. After retiring from the Air Force, Dale worked for the American Bowling Congress, was Executive Director for the Mesa Bowling Association, owned and operated Bowlcom Inc, and along with his brother Phil, owned and operated DK Corvettes.

Dale was an avid bowler. He started bowling while in the Air Force and continued bowling in leagues until he was 83 years old. He was inducted into the Mesa Bowling Association Hall of Fame for both Performance and for Meritorious Service.

In 2018 he was inducted into the Arizona State Bowling Hall of Fame for Performance. Dale was a passionate person as well as a perfectionist. He loved his bowling, Corvettes, family, and his years of service in the Air Force.

Dale was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lou (Rubeck), parents, Albert and Vena (Hilliker), stepmother, Lillian, brothers Robert Vickman and Gerald Vickman, and his sister Margaret (Vickman) Goss. He is survived by his sister Patricia (Vickman) Sampson, brothers Kenneth (Nancy) Vickman, Phillip (Peggy) Vickman, as well as many nieces and nephews. At Dale’s request, a service will not be held.
