About Cynthia Denise White
Cynthia Denise White was born on October 12, 1961, in Memphis, Tennessee, to Margaret Aline Cooper and Jessie James White. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend whose life was marked by faith, family, generosity, and a genuine heart for helping others.
Cynthia’s journey brought her from Memphis to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where she attended Rufus King High School and later worked at Froedtert Hospital. In March 2015, she relocated to Phoenix, Arizona, beginning a new chapter while continuing to make caring for others an important part of her life. From 2017 until her passing, Cynthia worked as a trained professional care assistant with Accent on Family Care Services. Caring for people was more than a profession for her; it reflected the compassion and generosity that came naturally to her.
Cynthia loved God and was raised in the church. In her younger years, she attended Christ Temple and later Ephesians Missionary Baptist Church in Milwaukee, where she remained connected until relocating to Arizona. Gospel music held a special place in her heart. She loved listening to her favorite songs and singing along, filling ordinary moments with the music that brought her joy, comfort, and reminded her of her faith.
Cynthia had a heart for people, especially those in need. Alongside her daughters, Felicia and Tamika, she helped establish Count Our Blessings!, a nonprofit created to support families experiencing difficult times. One of her greatest passions was feeding the homeless and helping ensure that those less fortunate were treated with kindness, dignity, and compassion. That same love could often be found in Cynthia’s kitchen. She was a wonderful cook who would feed anyone—family, friends, or someone simply in need of a meal. For Cynthia, food was more than nourishment; it was one of the many ways she said, “I love you.”
Cynthia found joy in the simple things that made life special. She loved shopping and collecting beautiful purses, caring for her plants, watching food review videos on YouTube, listening to gospel music, cooking, and spending time with those she loved. These are the memories her family will hold close—the everyday things that made her smile and made Cynthia uniquely herself.
Cynthia was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Margaret Aline Cooper and Jessie James White; her brothers, Tharis White and Jessie White Jr.; and her sisters, Aline White, Laqisha White, and Michelle White. She leaves to cherish her memory her loving sisters, Nikoa White and Latoya White; her five children, Felicia Blunt (Corey Wilder), Anthony Walker Jr. (Deshunna Walker), Kiante Walker, Pamela Brown (Armond Brown), and Tamika White; 22 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Among the special relationships in Cynthia’s life was the bond she shared with Anthony Walker Sr., the father of her children and her longtime friend. Their story began when they were just 10 and 11 years old and grew into a friendship spanning more than five decades. Together, they shared countless memories and built a family whose legacy will continue for generations.
Cynthia will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, woman of faith, and a compassionate giver whose life touched many. Though her earthly journey has ended, her love, faith, and legacy will live on through her family and all those whose lives she touched. Cynthia will be deeply missed, forever loved, and forever remembered. Rest peacefully, Mom. Your love lives on.
