Cynthia Marie Boyd

Cindy, 60, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 4th, 2025 in Phoenix, Arizona. She was born on February 9th, 1964 to John and Judy Meyer in Minneapolis, MN.

Cindy was preceded in death by her father, John. She is survived by her two sons; John and Dru Sanders, mother; Judy, sister; Diana, and brothers; Mark and David (Luba Serebrenik), 1 niece; Miriam Davis, and 2 nephews; Simon and Marc Meyer.

Cindy dearly loved her 2 sons, Dru and John that she raised with their father Jeff Sanders in Phoenix. They enjoyed family time and trips to CA beaches until their divorce in 2005. She kept in touch with her children and ex-husband until her passing. She was married to Charles Boyd in 2022 until his passing in 2024. They had a dog, King whom she also loved.

She was known among her friends and family for considering other people’s feelings and enjoyed making them laugh. She often called family just to tell them she loved them and to have a great day!

She enjoyed nature and athletics, often finding peace at local parks where she regularly met with her children.

Starting her athletic journey young, Cindy was an excellent track athlete who held records in long distance at both St. Patrick’s Catholic High School (North Platte, NE) and Oskaloosa (Iowa) High School.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Cindy on Friday, February 21, 2025 with Visitation at 10 a.m. and Mass at 11 a.m. at the Church of St. Edward, 9401 Nesbitt Avenue, Bloomington, MN, 55437.
