About Constantine Nicholas Kokoros
Constantine (Dino or Dean) Kokoros, born on March 22, 1935 in Erie, PA, and passed from this life into eternity on June 19, 2020 in Chandler, AZ. Dean was preceded in death by his parents, Nicholas Kokoros and Amelia Chacona Kokoros and his brother, George Kokoros. They were a close knit family and Dean was very proud of his Greek heritage.
Dean is survived by his wife of 56 years, Phyllis Griffin Kokoros; his daughter, Dena Wall (Kevin); his son, Nicholas Kokoros and his beloved partner, Samantha Shinn; and his 3 grandchildren: Alexandria, Sophia, and Zachary.
Dean was a prominent barber in Scottsdale, AZ for 56 years, owning his own business, Dino’s Barber Salon, in Scottsdale, AZ. Many of his clients were sports figures and celebrities. He loved cutting hair and chatting with customers. Dean had a great sense of humor, always telling jokes, bringing joy and laughter to many!
Dean enjoyed his job very much, watching sports, AZ sunshine by the pool, and doing slight of hand card and coin tricks and get together with family and friends.
Dean graduated from Strong Vincent High School in 1953. He participated in many sports, in and out of school, especially track and field, running the mile. He went to Penn State for track and finished well. Dean served in the U.S. Navy for 4 years and experienced 2 Mediterranean cruises, as well as visiting several other naval ports.
