Connie Lee Andrews Booth

Connie Lee Andrews Booth passed away peacefully on the evening of Tuesday, October 1, 2024. Born in Salina, Utah, she was the second child of Delos and Maxine Andrews.

Through her childhood, her dad’s work took them from Utah to California, and finally to Arizona when she was 14 years old. Connie graduated from Tempe High School and later earned her Bachelor of Science degree from ASU.

Connie met Barry G. Booth in April of 1972. The two were married in the Provo, Utah temple in June and were blessed with 4 children, Ann, Greg, David, and Mark.

Connie loved her family, friends, church, music, and baking. She had a talent for making friends and making you feel important. She kept track of everything about everybody. If she knew you, she probably had your address and phone number in a binder. She loved music and singing in choirs at church.

Connie worked as secretary at Jordan Elementary School for 15 years where her record keeping and bookkeeping skills were used as the standard for secretaries throughout the district.

Following retirement, Connie became interested in family history. She particularly focused on Barry’s family tree. She enjoyed taking names of ancestors for her and Barry to the temple weekly.

Connie is survived by her husband (Barry); children: Ann (Preston) Royce, Greg (Laurel) Booth, David (Amber) Booth, and Mark (Ashley) Booth, siblings: Melvin (Katherine) Andrews, Patsy (Tom) Young, Julie Turnbow, Steven (Rita) Andrews, and her thirteen grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother-in-law, Reed Turnbow.

A viewing will be held on Monday, October 7, 2024 at 9:00 AM, followed by the funeral service at 10:00 AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 5190 S. Recker Rd. Gilbert, AZ 85298. Interment to follow at Gilbert Memorial Park, 2100 E. Queen Creek Rd., Gilbert, AZ 85297
