Christine Margaret Messmer, 52, of Mesa, Arizona passed away in the early hours of May 21, 2020 at Mountain Vista Medical Center in Mesa, Arizona.

Christine was born on April 25, 1968 in Colorado Springs, Colorado to Ronald and Marilyn Messmer.

Christine was known for her kindness, helping hand, courage, fighting spirit, and faith. She was a loving daughter, sister, and mother; and an amazing friend to have. She enjoyed doing many activities with family and friends, especially with her father, Ronald; sister, Cindy; and brother, Rodney. She was also adoring the ability to reconnect with her son, Cecil, and have a relationship with him.

Christine was preceded in death by her grandma, Shirley Messmer; grandpa, Frederick Messmer; grandma, Imogene Sandway; grandpa, Jack Sandway; and brother-in-law, Alan Zimmerman. She leaves behind her parents, Ronald Messmer and Marilyn (Sandway) Messmer; sister, Cindy (Messmer) Zimmerman; brothers, Mark (Gabby) Messmer and Rodney (Michelle) Messmer; and son, Cecil Stacher.

A gathering to celebrate Christine’s life and remember her will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, June 6, 2020 at her brother Rodney’s residence, 2265 South Del Rancho, Mesa, Arizona 85209.

Christine and I have been best friends for years. She always looked on the bright side of things, as her favorite 2 words were “no worries”. When I talked to my boyfriend last night about Chris, I remembered when she always told me that the Lord is keeping her here on this Earth because hes not ready yet for her and he must have plans for her here when it came to her being sick when shed get really bad every year. Well, the Lord was ready for her to join him now to become an angel, get her wings, & be a guardian to everyone she loved, and everyone that loved her. She has been my roomate, the one I told everything to, and my “bestie”(which we called each other that). Between the relationship she had with her family (visits/dinners every Fri with her sister & parents, going to the races with her dad & siblings, going to places such as Roosters and Denim and Diamonds to hang out with her friends). As far as for anyone who was priviledged enough to know her hopefully can be comforted knowing if they look up in the sky, the brightest star is her. As far as me, Im taking 1 day at a time and think about, miss and love her. She was so kind, loyal, and amazing woman. Christine will be in mine and everyone she touched memory, heart and love always amd forever. RIP and Ill see u when God is ready to take me home, where I can be with both of my parents, friends, and her. The loss of her has done 1 thing for me. Tell every1 u know how much you love them & what they mean to u, as her & I always did when we’d say good bye in person or on the phone, saying those 3 words that nobody can ever hear enough from, I LOVE YOU
