Obituary

Carol Marguerite Hey passed away at the age of 86 in Mesa, Arizona on Wednesday, June 11, 2025. She was born in Gloversville, New York on November 14, 1938.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Warrington Hey, her parents Harold DeLong and Ethel Krawec, and her adoptive parents, Kenneth and Naomi Hardies.

Carol was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend.

She went to St. Joseph’s in Phoenix, Arizona for nursing school and became a Registered Nurse.

Carol leaves behind her three children; Daniel Hey, Frederick Hey, and Laura Hey-Dodge; her daughter in law, Merideth Hey, her grandchildren;Chanlder Nelson, Mason and Bentley Hey; Jeff, Dylan, Brian, Devon, Cole, and Jason Dodge; her great grandchildren; Ally, Noah, Thomas, Autumn and Adelynn Dodge; her sister, Patricia Shatzer and nephews Robert, William, and Michael Shatzer.

There will be a private service for Carol in Strawberry, Arizona.

Carol will be greatly missed and forever loved and remembered.

Carol made a huge difference in the life of my son by taking care of him when he was little. This family has been one of the most wonderful blessings in my life with Carol as the matriarch. I will never forget her right up to our last conversation just a beautiful soul watching over all of us now from heaven with Bob.
