Betty Mae Ferwerda

Our beloved mother Betty Mae Ferwerda passed away Friday, March 14th, 2025, in Apache Junction, Arizona. She was born on the 27th of August, 1936 in Waterbury, Vermont, to Heman Seely Crossman and Beatrice Florence Knosalla. She married Neil Wayne Thoreson on 31 Jun 1956 in Waterbury, Vermont. She married Gene Albert Ferwerda on 12 Dec 1980 in Mesa, Arizona, who has preceded her in death. She is survived by her children and their spouses: Jo Ann (Dave) Hallstrom, Gail Thoreson, Valerie (Gus) Baird, Shariya (Robert) Padilla, Jerel (Christina) Ferwerda, Lance (Sara) Ferwerda, Monte (Rebecca) Ferwerda, Val Ferwerda, Suzanne (Jimmy) Coulliette, and Cindy (Dane) Fahring. She is also survived by many wonderful grandchildren and great grandchildren. Services will be held at the Madero Ward chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 2647 South Signal Butte Road, Mesa, AZ on March 24th at 11am. She will be dearly missed.
