Anthony Thomas Lube

Anthony, beloved son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend peacefully passed away on August 25, 2026, at the age of 79. Born on October 28, 1946, in Cleveland, Ohio. Anthony was the beloved son of the late Anthony James Lube and Mary Colleta Flanagan. He was predeceased by his wife, Karen (Lube) Patton. He is survived by his sisters, Judy Petitto and Gerri Land (Calvin) as well as his niece, Antoinette Henderson (Dan).

A proud graduate of Euclid High School in Ohio, Anthony’s pursuit of knowledge and personal growth led him to earn an Associate in Arts Degree from Mesa Community College in Arizona in 1976, followed by a Bachelor of Science from Arizona State University in 1978. He was a lifelong learner and dedicated professional, obtaining a Real Estate Salesman License from the State of Arizona in 1988.

Anthony served his country with honor as a United States Army Military Police officer, receiving an honorable discharge in 1972. His sense of duty and commitment to protection found fulfilment in a 30-year career with Motorola, where he excelled in Security Operations and Executive Protection. This career opened the door to a world of adventure, allowing Anthony to travel across the globe and immerse himself in diverse cultures, rich histories, and breathtaking landscapes. From the sun-drenched shores of the Mediterranean to the awe-inspiring majesty of the Great Wall of China, each destination broadened his perspective and left a lasting impression. Anthony was known for his professionalism, trust, and dedication, leaving a lasting legacy at the company.

Outside his professional life, Anthony was driven by passion for bodybuilding and fitness. His dedication to health and personal growth was apparent in his commitment to training and competing in various bodybuilding competitions throughout Arizona. Anthony’s vibrant spirit was matched by his unmistakable voice, mesmerizing blue eyes, and handsome presence. He was a true man’s man, whose natural charm and wonderful sense of humor endeared him to all who knew him.

Anthony’s presence brightened every room, and his ability to make others laugh was a gift that will be dearly missed. Though he leaves us with heavy hearts, his legacy of love, laughter, dedication, and faith in God will continue to inspire us.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project in Anthony’s memory. His life was a testament to kindness, strength, and unwavering loyalty, and he will be forever cherished by those fortunate enough to have known him.
