Obituary

Ann Janell Stallings Martineau, age 86, passed away in her home in Mesa, Arizona, on May 28, 2026. She was born on October 21, 1939, to parents Glen and Zola Stallings. She graduated from Mesa High School and later married Preston Martineau. Together, they built a loving family and faithfully served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Leeds, England.

Throughout her life, she served in her church and community and was known for her quiet strength, kindness, unwavering testimony, and Christlike character. She was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who dedicated her life to caring for and strengthening her family. Her family was her greatest treasure, and she found her greatest joy in creating lasting memories together. She especially loved camping, hiking, traveling, reading, and celebrating holidays surrounded by those she loved.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Preston Martineau, parents Glen and Zola Stallings, and brother Gerald Stallings. She is survived by her six children Vohn (Tami) Martineau, Curtis (Lanae) Martineau, Keith Martineau, Sharma (James) Coleman, Janell (Jordan) Clark, and Becky (Seth) Campbell, twenty-seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and siblings, Betty Bevell, Ted Stallings, and Sherilyn Olsen.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, located at 830 East Lehi Road in Mesa, Arizona. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. and the funeral will follow at 10 a.m. The funeral service may be viewed via Zoom: https://zoom.us/j/97893987866.

Dedication of the grave will take place at 12:00 p.m. at the Mountain View Cemetery, located at 7900 East Main Street in Mesa, Arizona.

Following the dedication of the grave, extended family and close friends are invited to return to the church for a luncheon at approximately 1:30 p.m.

I'm grateful for her shining example of how to be compassionate to others love others with a Christ-like love. What a beautiful, faithful soul.
