About Amy Worden Johnson

Amy Worden Johnson, 44, of Gilbert, Arizona, passed away unexpectedly on May 18, 2026.

Born on March 8, 1982, in Santa Rosa, CA, Amy lived a life centered around the people and things she loved most — her children, her family, her friends, her dogs, and creating joy in everyday moments.

Amy was athletic, spirited, competitive, and full of life. A former collegiate swimmer at the University of Redlands, and marathon runner, she brought energy and determination into everything she did. She had a quick wit, a snarky sense of humor, a love for games and family gatherings. Amy was creative and she had a quirky personality that made life more fun for everyone around her. She never met a dog she didn’t love, and leopard print was part of her signature style.

More than anything, Amy loved being a mom. Paige, Payson, and Bryce were the center of her world and her proudest accomplishment. She poured her heart into raising them, cheering them on, and building a home filled with love, laughter, and togetherness.

Amy is survived by her beloved children, Paige and Payson, both 11, and Bryce, 8; her husband, Cody; her parents, Richard and Sharon Worden; her sisters, Laura Bundesen (Rob) and Michelle Neils (Mark); and her beloved Aunt, Carol Bloom.

She is also lovingly remembered by her in-laws, Tammy and Kevin Johnson; and her brothers- and sisters-in-law, Amie Smith, Dustin Johnson (Darcy), Sara Johnson, Josh Johnson, and Jake Johnson (Melissa).

Amy also leaves behind many cherished nieces and nephews, countless friends, and her beloved pets, Bentley and Stormy.

Amy will be remembered for her vibrant spirit, fierce love for her family, and the joy and warmth she brought into the lives of those around her.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Gilbert at the Adora Trails Community Center on Saturday, May 30 from 1-3P.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that love be shown through support for Amy’s children and by spending meaningful time with those you love. Those wishing to honor Amy’s memory and support the children may do so through a memorial fund - contributions may be made via VENMO at @Amy-Johnson-300.
