Obituary

Allan Monroe Kitterman, age 86, passed away peacefully on May 7, 2026, in Gilbert, Arizona.

He was born on May 22, 1939, in Wall, South Dakota, to Russell and Artie (Carmicheal) Kitterman. Allan grew up in Tucson, Arizona, and graduated from Amphitheater High School.

Allan served his country in the United States Navy for 4 years, where he was stationed in Bethesda, Maryland. There, he was taught by the missionaries and baptized into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. On shore leave, Allan met and soon married Patricia Marie Foust of Columbus, Ohio, on May 27, 1961.

He studied Civil Engineering at The Ohio State University and began his long career in civil construction.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife of 42 years, Patricia, and brother, Roger.

He is survived by his second wife, Cecilia Candice (Hoel), his three sons, Allan Jr. (Andrea), Mark (Carol), Kris (Arlene), and his daughter, Claudia. Along with stepchildren Jeff, Julie (Eric), Joni (Jeff), Janna (Jordan), Jaron (Makana). Allan had a large posterity of 33 grandchildren and 41 great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, May 15th, at

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints

1430 N Recker Rd. Mesa, AZ.

Viewing from 4-6pm

Funeral Service 6pm


Allan will be laid to rest in the St. David, AZ Cemetery on

Saturday, May 16th at 11am.
